The Brief
In September 2024, CTEC delivered the full shell and core fit-out of a 250m² Italian deli and café that transforms into a cocktail bar in the evening.
The nine-week programme included the creation of a large open-plan dining space, a deli and market area, a concealed commercial kitchen, two toilets, a plant room, and an outdoor dining area.
Having been recommended by a previous client, CTEC were appointed as principal designer and contractor, responsible for all trades, materials, and coordination throughout the project.
With the client eager to begin trading quickly, CTEC were tasked with completing the fit-out at short notice.

What we did
To bring the client’s vision to life, CTEC oversaw every stage of construction and installation. Bespoke joinery was manufactured on site, including custom counters and high-level seating designed to perfectly fit the space.
A full commercial kitchen was installed to enable the preparation of authentic Italian cuisine, while the dining areas were finished with suspended decorative lighting, curated artwork, and soft furnishings.
The open-ceiling design showcased the building’s services while maintaining a modern and stylish atmosphere.
Throughout the process, CTEC worked closely with the client, building a strong relationship that has since led to further collaboration on additional stores.
The outcome
The finished deli and cocktail bar has become a vibrant destination within the Marleigh community, offering a flexible space that shifts seamlessly from daytime dining to an evening bar experience.
Delivered on time and to the client’s requirements, the project reflects both a high standard of craftsmanship and an eye for detail.
The combination of bespoke furniture, high-quality finishes, and functional commercial facilities has created a welcoming and modern space that supports the client’s growing business.
CTEC continue to work with the client on new ventures, with another shell and core fit-out scheduled for November.
